Reminder About 2008 Ronnie Coleman Classic (April 19)

Strongman & Powerlifting Meets At 2008 Ronnie Coleman Classic

To all fellow Iron Warriors,

We are putting on a hardcore strength event this year to be held with the 12th Annual NPC 4-19-08 (April 19, 2008) at the , 1818 Rodeo Drive, Mesquite Texas 75149.

Events include NAS Strength Extravaganza with athletes competing in all the various weight and age classes in the for reps, max deadlift, farmers hold, and over a bar for reps. Top 2 in each class in open lw and hw qualify for NAS Nationals. Awards for top 3 in each class. Entry fees are $55.00 and the card fee is $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for teens.

Along with this we are holding a power meet (bench and deadlift only) with your choice of “raw” (belt and wrist wraps only) or “unlimited gear” (suits, wraps, elbow sleeves, duct tape, etc.).  This contest will be sanctioned by MSA() and there are no card fees for this event. 

We will have Texas power bars, Okie deadlift bars, and the . Standard and rules will apply.  Awards for top 3 in each class.  Entry fee is $40.00 for adults, $25.00 for teens.  The weights will be lifted in pounds as most athletes are Americans lifting in America.  We already have some Europeans coming but they will have to adjust to our weights not ours to theirs!

Brian Dobson Wins 2007 NPC Texas Promoter Of The Year Award

, owner of and co-author of “Metroflex Gym’s Down-To-Earth Guide To Your Ideal Body”, was just announced as the 2007 National Physique Committee (NPC) Texas Promoter of the Year. This is for his work in promoting the Ronnie Coleman Classic (Grapevine, TX) and Shows (Conroe, TX) this year.

Brian will be receiving his award at the NPC Texas State Bodybuilding, Figure & Fitness Championships this Saturday in Stafford, Texas (near Houston).
