Build Up Muscle And Your Mind With Metroflex Gym

To all fellow Iron Warriors,

We are putting on a hardcore strength event this year to be held with the 12th Annual NPC Ronnie Coleman Classic 4-19-08 (April 19, 2008) at the Mesquite Rodeo Convention Center, 1818 Rodeo Drive, Mesquite Texas 75149.

Events include NAS Ronnie Coleman Strength Extravaganza with athletes competing in all the various weight and age classes in the log press for reps, max deadlift, farmers hold, and Atlas stones over a bar for reps. Top 2 in each class in open lw and hw qualify for NAS Nationals. Awards for top 3 in each class. Entry fees are $55.00 and the card fee is $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for teens.

Along with this we are holding a power meet (bench and deadlift only) with your choice of “raw” (belt and wrist wraps only) or “unlimited gear” (suits, wraps, elbow sleeves, duct tape, etc.).  This contest will be sanctioned by MSA(Metroflex Strength Association) and there are no card fees for this event. 

We will have Texas power bars, Okie deadlift bars, and the Forza bench press. Standard powerlifting weight classes and rules will apply.  Awards for top 3 in each class.  Entry fee is $40.00 for adults, $25.00 for teens.  The weights will be lifted in pounds as most athletes are Americans lifting in America.  We already have some Europeans coming but they will have to adjust to our weights not ours to theirs!

This Saturday, February 16, Metroflex Gym Productions presents the 2008 Texas Strongman Classic in conjunction with the North American Strongman Association.  The event will be held in Fort Worth, Texas and here is the information you need:

Events (subject to change):  Farmers Walk, Tire Flip, Max Deadlift, Husafell Type Stone Carry, Sled Drag, Log Press, and more

Two special guest appearances will be made from International Federation Strongman Association (IFSA) professionals:  Travis Ortmayer and [tag-tec]Stefan Solvi Petursson.

Top prize is $250 to the overall Open Class winners for Lightweight and Heavyweight.
